Are social networking sites "someone's property"? An Algorithm for guiding public opinion? A surveillance device? Who defines "civil" or "uncivil"?

Our mission is to create the "good" Internet space.

"Cure" for the Internet Space

we regard the Internet space as a complex system. The Internet space is an organism; data is the organism's blood. We focus not only on symptoms of the negative aspects of the Internet but on the fundamental cause of symptoms

As the Internet becomes a big part of our lives, it has been opening up a lot of possibilities for human beings.
The Internet, however, is not perfect. It becomes a tool to polarize people, a place for trolls and harassments, distorts people's perceptions of lives, etc.
We do not want the Internet to end up as being something dismal.
Our mission as researchers is to create a "good" internet space and define what is "good" for us.
